Introducing the IsoBox SERIES, a new product line of Medical
Grade Isolation Transformers with low noise and low EMR
(Electro-Magnetic Radiation). Four standard models are available in
attractive aluminum cases for floor or wall mounting.
For Patient Care Areas*, our IsoBox Series offers added
safety when using electronic or electromedical devices. By connecting
such apparatus to the IsoBox, you will benefit from the added
protection and you may rest assured that you will be in full compliance
with the legal requirements of maximum 100 µA leakage current and
isolation as stipulated by the NEC (National Electrical Code) and UL
(Underwriters, Laboratories) safety standard UL2601.1.
You can also realize some savings in your purchasing budget
when buying standard commercial grade printers, video monitors,
computers and other devices and connect them to our IsoBox, instead of
paying for higher priced medical grade components. Our IsoBox will take
care of the required maximum leakage current requirements for Patient
Care Areas*.
There are two basic series available. The U.S. series
operates at 117V/60Hz for U.S. and Canadian installations. The
International series is designed to operate in North America as well as
overseas and in South America.
Using our own design and manufacture of the toroidal power
transformers for the IsoBox, we can achieve a voltage drop of only 6%
for the 300VA rating and smaller for the larger power ratings. The
toroidal transformer inside the IsoBox is virtually hum free, generates
very low EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) and runs quite cool, also
at rated full load. Computer and video monitors can be sensitive to EMI
as are many other electronic devices.

(Electro-Magnetic Radiation). We have two standard formats, available
in attractive white aluminum cases for floor, wall, chassis and cart
installation. Typical applications include installation of computers,
video monitors, surveillance cameras, test and measurement instruments,
printers, clinics, doctor’s offices, or whenever safe operation of
electronics equipment requires low leakage current levels.
This line of enclosed
isolation transformers offers all the advantages of the toroidal
constructions such as low weight, low magnetic strayfield, low
mechanical noise, low losses, high efficiency and cool operating
temperature. The low height of the toroidal transformer allows the
enclosure to have a low profile for easy installation in a modern
office environment.
The enclosures are
made of sturdy aluminum with a white finish. Other colors are optional.
On all the North American/Domestic models, the secondary neutral
conductor is grounded. To order models without the secondary neutral
bond to ground, please call the factory.

American/Domestic Models of the IsoBox series Isolation Transformers
operate at 60Hz line frequency with 120V input and 120V output. Each
isolation transformer comes equipped with four rubber feet for floor or
tabletop installation. Two brackets are also supplied for wall or
chassis mounting. We can design units with more or fewer outlets and
also change the cord length per your request. |

| The Multi-National series
has expanded the International series input voltages to include
100/120/220/240V, through a power entry module with power switch and
current limiting fuses. In addition, the selectable output voltage,
115/230V, makes these units suitable for almost all applications and
locations worldwide. The outlets are type IEC320-C14. Filtering is
standard. The M series also have the capability to fasten the input and
output cords through available clips and clamps. |
